Easy Skin Care Routine for College Students

Easy Skincare Routine for College Students

With all the hectic schedule of being a college student, from exams to research, thesis, and deadline of projects, a skincare routine is most likely to shut one’s eye. Since you are responsible for yourself, you need to have a steady balance between your activities in schoolwork, social ventures, adjusting to your dorm/apartment, and of course, taking care of yourself properly.

I bet, breaking out would be the least you want to experience amidst all the reports and college requirements. Let us show you some of the easiest routines you may maintain to achieve a glowing skin that is free from blemishes.

Keep Yourself Hydrated

It is not only good for your skin but most especially for your whole body. Taking away all the toxins from your body can definitely be achieved by drinking eight or more glasses of water a day.

A hydrated skin will make your skin less dull, and plumper, less oily, and acne will be less likely to aggravate. Though coffee and tea can be considered liquids to take, water is still the best to make you hydrated.

We recommend that you bring your own water container everywhere you go. Don’t wait to get thirsty before you drink. Make it a regular habit.

Know Your Skin Type

There are a lot of websites you can check to determine your skin types and which product suits you. You may be having dry, sensitive, or oily skin. So it is essential to know your skin type.

If you are always in a hurry, especially during the morning, you may consider having a combination type of products that you can use every day or on the days when you don’t have time for a full regimen.

Also, there are homemade skincare products that you can try out. Think about lemon and honey? Perhaps, you can create your own coffee scrub. Who says you have to spend too much?

Cleanse with the Right Amount of pH

After knowing your skin type, cleansing is a must, not only in the evening, and is not limited to ladies. Remember, men should also have their facial cleansers. Washing your face with water only may not achieve what your face needs.

Did you know that there is a right amount of pH ideal for your face? The pH scale measures the acidity or alkalinity of a water-soluble substance (such as the surface of your skin or water). A higher pH number means more alkaline; the lower the number, the more acidic. At a happy level, your skin’s pH should rest under 5. So choose a cleanser within this range.

Don’t Forget Your Sunscreen

This is probably one of the skin routines that are being set aside by many. Their understanding of using sunscreen is only as protection when you are always outside or if you are only going to the beach. Regardless of the weather, may it be sunny or cloudy, or even rainy, you should always put on sunscreen to protect you from blue light from digital devices.

So, what type of sunscreen shall you get? It should be an antioxidant-loaded broad-spectrum sunscreen to keep skin shielded from the most concentrated portions of UV and blue light.

Clean Your Make-up Tools

You may overlook things you are using on your face, such as make-up brushes and sponges. These are prone to collect bacteria over time.

The more you cleanse them, the less acne-causing bacteria you’re spreading on your skin.

Besides bacteria, brushes also accumulate dead skin cells and oil, which can clog your pores and lead to dull or broken out skin.

In addition, your cellphones are most likely to collect dirt and bacteria that may spread to your face when you use it. Wiping it at the end of the day may keep your face free from these things.

You may say that college students have a lot to do and it may result in disregarding a skincare regimen. Regardless of your skin type or current state of your skin, caring for your skin and treating it delicately is necessary to avoid future problems.

Consider these things to prevent future skin problems that may require expensive procedures or costly products. Right now, you just need to allocate probably less than 10 minutes per day to take care of your skin. It’s not a lot if you ask us.
